Brothers Christopher and Ethan Landis formed Landis Construction Corporation and Landis Group to meet the growing needs of the Washington Metropolitan area
- from commercial construction
contracting, space planning, tenant fit
out to green office construction and
more. Our family business has just celebrated its nineteenth year as a
Commercial Construction Corporation. We think one of our keys to success is that both principals are knowledgeable in all aspects of the building process.
After graduating from Swarthmore College and getting his MBA from George Washington University, Ethan Landis formed Landis Construction Corporation in 1990. As a developer/general contractor, Ethan has managed both large and small restoration projects and worked with real estate brokers and developers.
A registered architect in three states, member of The American Institute of Architects, Chris Landis has over 23 years experience in design and construction. After earning his Master's in Architecture from Columbia University, Chris worked with Fortune 500 Companies and was responsible for the design and construction of office space in high rise multi-use buildings.
Between 2006 and 2007, Landis Construction designed and constructed the 20,000 square foot "LANDIS BUILDING" in Takoma, DC where we have our offices on the third floor. The building features many state of the art energy saving features including a geothermal HVAC system. We also designed and built out our tenant spaces. Several of the Landis Building tenants work in the construction industry.
